Treasurer’s Office Receives Commendation from
League of Barangays
Mr. Anthony L. Pulmano,
officer-in-charge of the Paranaque City Treasurer’s Office recently received a
commendation from the
League of Barangays for its
outstanding coordination with all the barangays and expressing support for all
barangay plans and programs for the continuous development and progress of the
city.
The League of Barangays quoted as
saying that Pulmano has shown innovative responses to tough budget times of the
lower echelon of local government. His undertakings has enabled barangays to
collect needed funds coming from clearances, community taxes and other payments
from barangay documents needed for businesses applications.
“This is the second time The
Treasurer’s Office has been recognized for excellent fund management,
innovations and cost savings,” said Liga President Jeremy S. Marquez, while
making the presentation. “That is good news for everyone in Paranaque City.”
In response, Pulmano said that he
wanted to share the recognition with the entire staff of the Treasurer’s Office
and thanked the city’s Business Permit and Licensing Office headed by Atty.
Melanie Malaya for their assistance. He also expressed appreciation to the City
Council headed by Vice Mayor Rico Golez and City Executives for their support
for the office’s commitment to improving and modernizing city services.
Mayor Olivarez added that he already
instructed the City Treasurer’s Office of his continuous quality improvement
plan, including additional fund innovations for the coming year. (Teddy
