MAYOR STEP PREPARES CATBALOGAN FOR THE TYPHOON RUBY

Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan in Catbalogan City prepares for the worst scenario on the onslaught of typhoon Ruby and call for everybody to pray. "Spare us Lord from the threat of super typhoon RUBY. We lift our safety unto your loving arms & shield us from destruction. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord and saviour, AMEN."

A message of Mayor Step to her constituents in local dialect, Waray.

"Miskin mayda pa iba iba nga pwede maging direksyon han Bagyong Ruby, ako in nananawagan ha iyo ngatanan nga ayaw kita pagtagya.
Akon i-gen-aaghat an ngatanan nga padayon an aton pangadi para maging safe kita ngatanan. Waray nawawara kon mag aandam kita. Adi an lista han han aton mga kinahanglanon kon ingkaso madayon an Typhoon Ruby.
An aton syudad genmamalakahimo nga maging andam ngan safe and ngatanan. Burublig kta and pa dayon an Aton makusog ngan kinasingkasing nga pag ampo."

The mayor also boosts commodities to be pre-positioned for evacuation centers in Catbalogan City.

An updated report of the situationer in Catbalogan City, as of 07:00 PM according to City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), 83 families have already been evacuated to three (3) evacuation centers, namely: 

Maulong Elementary School - 24 Families, 144 Persons from Barangay Maulong

Mercedes Elementary School - 24 Families, 130 Persons from Barangay Mercedes

City Homes Elementary School - 35 Families, 210 Persons from Sitio Mombon, Barangay Pangdan (BOYET LECHADORES/BERNIE ANABO)
